Who can apply to Darülaceze?

Applications can be made to the relevant units for individuals in the elderly category, those who are not in the elderly category but have physical disabilities that prevent them from caring for themselves, individuals without social security and in need of care; as well as disabled individuals and children under state protection.

Can someone who has social security coverage apply?

While priority is given to those without social security coverage, special circumstances may be evaluated by the board.

Can rejected applications be resubmitted?

Yes, you can reapply if a new social or health condition arises.

What are the requirements for admission to the Okmeydanı campus?

Individuals who are in the elderly category, or if not in the elderly category, have physical disabilities that prevent them from caring for themselves, lack social security, and are unable to work are accepted. A detailed assessment is conducted according to the Darülaceze Regulations.

How do I apply to the 0-3 years old children's unit?

Applications are only accepted through referrals from the Ministry of Family and Social Services; individual applications are not accepted.

What is the difference between applying to a nursing home and applying to a private care center?

Nursing homes are structured to support the lives of elderly individuals. Special care centers, on the other hand, are geared towards the care of severely disabled individuals and are subject to specific conditions.

Is accompanied care possible?

Subject to limited availability, the option of accompanied care may be considered if needed.

Is temporary care provided?

Yes, temporary (short-term) accommodation may be available in certain blocks. Prior application is required.

Is an appointment required for a visit?

Yes. Appointments are required for all visits. Dates and times can be viewed on the Visit Calendar page.

Are there any age limits or professional requirements for volunteering?

Anyone over the age of 18 can volunteer according to their interests. Special assessments are conducted for tasks requiring professional expertise (psychological support, health education, etc.).

Can we visit the children's units during the visits?

No. The children's unit is under special protection. Volunteer activities are planned after a preliminary assessment.

What documents are required?

Documents may vary depending on the location and type of service applied for. After completing the preliminary application form, you will be directed by the social services unit.
