Bringing together Darülaceze’s more than 130 years of experience in care and social services with a contemporary approach to education, Darülaceze Academy was officially opened with a ceremony attended by our Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş.

The opening ceremony of Darülaceze Academy was attended by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, President of Darülaceze Esra Ceceli İslam, Deputy Mayor of Şişli Ali İkram Tuna, Beyoğlu District Governor and Acting Şişli District Governor Abdullah Atakan Atasoy, Istanbul Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Ömer Turan, Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education Mücahit Yentür, members of the Darülaceze Administrative Board, academy students, and Darülaceze staff.

Contributing to the Development of Qualified Human Resources in Social Services

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş emphasized that Darülaceze Academy will contribute to the development of qualified professionals specialized in the fields of elderly care, disability services, and home care, and highlighted the Academy as an innovative educational model for Türkiye.

Darülaceze Academy aims to pass on Darülaceze’s long-established institutional culture and field-based knowledge to future generations through educational programs, while supporting the development of qualified human resources needed in the fields of social services and care.

The Opening Ribbon Was Cut

Following the speeches, the opening ribbon of Darülaceze Academy was cut with the participation of Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, President of Darülaceze Esra Ceceli İslam, and invited guests.

After the opening ceremony, Minister Göktaş and the accompanying delegation visited the educational facilities of Darülaceze Academy. The delegation met with academy students and received information from President of Darülaceze Esra Ceceli İslam regarding the educational activities to be carried out.
