At the historic Okmeydanı Campus of our Darülaceze Presidency, the “Disability Awareness Seminar” was held with great participation, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Turkey White Cane Association.

As part of the program, participants had the opportunity to engage with Turkey White Cane Association President Lokman Ayva, Ministry of Family and Social Services Director General of Services for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly Taha Kürşad Sezen, Acting Department Head Dr. Lütfiye Karaaslan, Family and Social Services Specialist Keziban Karçkay, communication expert and author Çiğdem Erdik, and Turkey White Cane Association Vice President Dr. Hediye Gamze Türkmen.

The seminar addressed key topics such as raising awareness in the field of disability, accessibility, rights-based approaches, social perception, and communication, and was followed with great interest by the attendees.
