Under the leadership of the esteemed First Lady Emine Erdoğan, the Zero Waste Foundation—aiming to raise awareness nationally and internationally on preventing waste and using resources efficiently through recycling—President Samed Ağırbaş and Foundation executives visited Darülaceze and set up a “Waste-Free Holiday Table” for our residents.

Hosted by Darülaceze President Esra Ceceli İslam, the program took place at our historic simit bakery, where residents were welcomed to the holiday table. The gathering, enriched with warm family-like conversations, concluded with the presentation of gifts to our residents by the Zero Waste Foundation.

During the visit, handmade products created by Darülaceze residents at our Rehabilitation Center in line with the #ZeroWaste approach were showcased. Possible areas of cooperation, as well as upcoming initiatives within the scope of the Zero Waste Forum and Festival, were also discussed.
